Elsa Romero

Elsa has served the immigrant communities of Central and South Texas since 2007, when she became a BIA-Accredited representative. She serves as DOJ-Accredited Representative since 2013 and Office Manager. She specializes in Adjustment of Status and Consular processing cases. Elsa holds a B.A. in Spanish and a M.A. in Spanish with a specialization in Spanish translation.

Jesús Romero

Jesús has served, along with his wife Elsa, the immigrant community in Central and South Texas, first as a BIA-Accredited Representative, and since 2013, as DOJ-Accredited Representative and Director of ELIM. He does family-based petitions, religious worker visas and represents immigrants in court with asylum and Special Immigrant Juvenile cases. He holds B.A., M.A. and Ph.D degrees in Spanish.

Marianela Hernández Vivas

Marianela is a first generation immigrant from Venezuela and a licensed attorney in her country who has a passion for social work. She works part-time at ELIM as Ministry Assistant and is in the process of preparing her application for DOJ-accreditation.

Sylvia Andrew

Sylvia is a volunteer at ELIM who helps immensely with her strong legal research skills. She is a retired Professor from the University of New Mexico at Gallup, where she served as Director of the UNM Campus. Although she devoted her career to the field of Social Work, she is also a licensed attorney who loves serving immigrants. We are grateful she chose to love them through the work we do at ELIM.
